SEATTLE, Wash. — With the final week of preseason training upon them, West Seattle Junction FC has their sights set on a victory in their USL League Two season opener as they prepare for a road contest against the Tacoma Stars.
“We are very excited to get the season rolling, but at the same time, I wish we had a little more time together with everyone,” shared head coach Erik Oman when asked how he and his staff were feeling ahead of their season opener against Tacoma. “We still have a few players arriving in town this week, so the start of the season still holds a few unknowns, but the coaching staff are pleased overall with what we have seen so far in training.”

Fans will be quick to remember last year’s dramatic 3-2 win over the Stars, with the Blues looking to secure a similar result on Saturday night. Tacoma opened up the 2025 campaign earlier this week with a narrow 1-0 loss against newcomers, Snohomish United, but Oman knows exactly what his squad should expect from their opposition. “I expect the Stars to be physical and organized as a group, so it will be a good test for our guys to solve how we can play out of pressure on a relatively small field in Tacoma.”

Saturday night’s matchup will kick off at 7:00 pm at Bellarmine High School, with tickets available for purchase HERE. Fans who are unable to watch the game in person can tune in via SportsEngine Play.
The Blues will be back in action at home for the first time this season next Friday, as they host Lane United at 7:00 pm, with tickets still available for purchase online.
