MEET THE TEAM

Coach Erik Oman boasts a 15 year collegiate coaching career and has roots in Seattle dating back to 1994. He has served as League Technical Director for the Washington Premier League (WPL), the Academy Director for the WPL Academy, a Match Evaluator for MLS, and more.

Peter Malakoane joins West Seattle Junction FC as our new Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.

His 30 years of coaching experience include serving as a USSF Grassroots Instructor, and Assistant Coach for the U20 Canadian Women’s National Team, and multiple leadership roles within the Canadian soccer landscape.

JFC is excited to welcome such a distinguished coach to our ranks and we look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly have on the team.

With more than 30 years of coaching experience in the greater Seattle area, Todd Veenhuizen joins head coach Erik Oman’s group to lead the team in their inaugural season.

Coach Todd’s coaching background includes roles at the University of Washington, Seattle University, West Seattle High School and club coaching at Eastside FC. He holds a USSF B license.

WS Junction FC has brought in Dorian Lair to head the Goalkeeping Program.

He has served as the head coach for the Snohomish County Steelheads Men’s Arena team, and has served as the Goalkeeper Coach for Salmon Creek SC and Hillsboro SC in Oregon.

As a player, Dorian has played in the National Premier Soccer League, United Premier Soccer League and the Cascadia Premier League.

Roman Torres returns to Seattle to join West Seattle Junction FC’s coaching staff after a storied career playing for the Seattle Sounders and the Panama National Team.

His combined role as Player Mentor means he will work with the team to help support their career development in soccer, providing insight and motivation from his own professional experience.
